Ampliado o atendimento médico a alunos da rede pública

Ações estão sendo executadas para aprimorar os programas e aumentar o número de atendimentos e de profissionais. Professores são orientados a detectar problemas e encaminhar os estudantes para os atendimentos de oftalmologia e odontologia.

A Secretaria de Educação do Distrito Federal oferece aos alunos da rede pública de ensino, durante todo o ano letivo, serviços odontológicos e oftalmológicos gratuitamente. A atual gestão está promovendo ações para aumentar o número de atendimentos e de profissionais.

A novidade é que ainda este semestre, em parceria com a Secretaria de Saúde, está prevista a abertura de mais quatro clínicas oftalmológicas com o objetivo de dobrar o número de atendimentos. Por mês, são realizados cerca de 9 mil testes de acuidade visual e 500 consultas oftalmológicas. Somente neste ano, 1.660 óculos foram doados aos alunos que apresentaram problemas relacionados à visão. O programa conta ainda com a colaboração de 30 agentes de saúde.

Ampliar atendimento

Além disso, a SEDF dispõe de sete clínicas odontológicas para atendimento aos estudantes. Mensalmente cerca 8.500 alunos recebem tratamento preventivo e 230 tratamento odontológico curativo. A Secretaria acaba de finalizar a compra de 500 mil kits de higiene bucal que serão entregues nas unidades educacionais na 2ª semana de agosto.

“Disponibilizar esses serviços demonstra a preocupação da Secretaria de Educação com a saúde dos alunos. Problemas oftalmológicos e odontológicos influenciam diretamente na qualidade da aprendizagem. Por isso, tentamos atender o maior número possível de estudantes”, explica a assessora da Subsecretaria de Infraestrutura e Apoio Educacional, Alaíde Nascimento.

A SEDF também está em negociação com a Secretaria de Saúde para a abertura de outras clínicas odontológicas no próximo ano de 2013 e com o GDF para a realização de novo concurso público para recomposição do quadro de servidores, técnicos em saúde educacional.
