Câmara e SOERGS discutem abertura de concurso para dentistas
O presidente da Câmara Municipal, vereador Dr. Thiago Duarte, o vereador Mario Manfro e o presidente do Sindicato dos Odontologistas no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (SOERGS), Andrew Lemos Pacheco, reuniram-se na tarde desta quarta-feira (27/2) com o vice-prefeito Sebastião Melo para discutir a abertura de concurso público para dentista especialista e a valorização da categoria. Também estavam presentes ao encontro o presidente do Comitê das Entidades Odontológicas (Ceco), Bernardo Godolphim, e a conselheira do Conselho Regional de Odontologia do Rio Grande do Sul (CRO-RS), Maria Rita Ibañez de Lemos. Além de representantes dos dentistas municipários.
Hoje, a Secretaria Municipal da Saúde conta com o serviço dos Centros de Especialidades Odontológicas, mas os concursos realizados contemplam apenas cirurgiões-dentistas. Os dentistas especialistas acabam sendo deslocados para exercer estas funções sem receber um salário compatível com a atividade.
Na oportunidade, o vereador Manfro reiterou a necessidade de um atendimento de qualidade para saúde bucal de Porto Alegre. “A saúde bucal tem sido deixada de lado nas administrações públicas. A demanda reprimida de atendimento é muito grande. Porto Alegre será inovadora se investir neste sentido, com a devida valorização dos profissionais em suas especialidades o maior beneficiado será a população com mais agilidade e qualidade no atendimento”, explica. Segundo Andrew Lemos Pacheco, “muitos colegas trabalham em sua especialidade sem a devida valorização. A categoria está em luta desde o ano retrasado por melhorias na saúde bucal do município e nos salários. A melhora no atendimento da saúde bucal inicia na valorização dos profissionais da área”, destacou.
De acordo com a integrante do Conselho Regional de Odontologia, Maria Rita Ibañez de Lemos, existe hoje na cidade um cirurgião-dentista para cada 14 mil habitantes. “O ideal previsto pelo Ministério da Saúde é de um para cada mil habitantes”, explicou.
Atualmente Porto Alegre conta com 120 cirurgiões-dentistas estatutários. O Sindicato dos Odontologistas quer que sejam criadas 30 vagas para cirurgião-dentista, 30 para auxiliares de saúde bucal e mais 30 vagas para técnicos da área. “É preciso que o Município ofereça uma odontologia de qualidade à população”, disse Dr. Thiago Duarte. Depois da audiência, o vice-prefeito Sebastião Melo agendou uma nova reunião para o dia 27 de março. Uma reunião com os dentistas municipários deverá ser agendada no Soergs para conversar com a categoria a respeito do encaminhamentos.
