Projeto que ampara o Cirurgião-Dentista em UTIs recebe vista na Câmara dos Deputados
O Projeto de Lei que garante a presença do Cirurgião-Dentista nas Unidades de Terapia Intensiva(UTIs) – 2.776/08 – recebeu, no dia 20/03, vista conjunta dos Deputados Federais Edson Silva (PSB-CE) e Rodrigo Grilo (PLS-MG), na Comissão de Constituição e Justiça e de Cidadania, da Câmara dos Deputados. De acordo com o regulamento interno da Câmara, o PL poderá entrar em pauta após cinco sessões plenárias.
Segundo o deputado Edson Silva, o PL requer uma leitura mais apurada para que não apenas o Cirurgião-Dentista seja incluso na equipe multidisciplinar, mas sim a equipe contemple todos os profissionais da área da saúde que oportunizem melhor atendimento ao paciente internado.
A vice-presidente da Federação Nacional dos Odontologistas, Dra. Joana Batista de Oliveira Lopes destacou a importância do Projeto de Lei para a sociedade brasileira. “Apesar da classe odontológica ter abraçado essa luta para inclusão do profissional de odontologia em UTIs, o maior beneficiário do PL é o paciente internado em UTIs, considerando a vulnerabilidade existente para infecções na cavidade oral no período de internação. É preciso que exista a conscientização por parte da sociedade sobre o impacto que esse PL representa na saúde brasileira”, explica.
Em defesa do Projeto, o Deputado Grilo orientou os representantes de entidade odontológica presentes na CCJC para construção de um parecer favorável, em que será apresentado e lido por ele na próxima Audiência Pública. “A abertura que concedi confirma meu apoio a aprovação do Projeto de Lei 2776/08”.
A Federação Nacional dos Odontologistas está empenhada na articulação juntamente com outras entidades odontológicas para pressão na Câmara dos Deputados. A FNO acomanhará de perto todo o tramite no Congresso Nacional até o parecer favorável final.
